Since it’s the hands that have led her to various places and people,it’s natural to put some of the touches back into the figurehead portrait in the form of embracing hands as part of the body. The sculpture is a simple column - perhaps with connection to the Cycladic figures. Quiet and introverted, but very intense and intensely present.
